The agreement

Terms

Use the game, have a strong opinion and let other people have theirs. These terms explain the few rules that keep it working.

Effective 3 September 2026

Using the service

By using Would You Rather, you agree to these terms and our Community Rules. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Friendly mode can be enjoyed by a broad audience. Adult themes may not be suitable for younger users, and Dark mode is restricted to people aged 18 or over. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising younger users.

Accounts

You can play as a guest or create an account. Give accurate information, keep your credentials secure and tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed your account. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account.

Your content

You keep ownership of questions, comments and other content you create. By submitting content, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, adapt, display and distribute it only as needed to operate, promote and improve the service. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for copies already shared, anonymised results or copies we must keep for legal reasons.

You must have the rights needed to submit your content. Do not post anything illegal, harmful, deceptive, private, infringing or prohibited by our Community Rules.

Moderation

We may review, label, limit or remove content and may suspend or close accounts where reasonably necessary to enforce these terms, protect users or comply with law. We are not obliged to publish every submitted question. Report concerns in the app or email info@wouldyourather.co.uk.

Plans and payments

Pro is not currently offered for purchase. If paid plans are introduced, the price, billing period, renewal, cancellation and any cooling-off information shown at checkout will form part of these terms. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

Availability and responsibility

We may change, pause or discontinue features and cannot promise the service will always be available or error-free. The game and community content are provided for entertainment, not professional advice. Do not rely on them for medical, legal, financial or safety-critical decisions.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you began using the service.

Ending use and changes

You may stop using the service or delete your account at any time. Clauses that are intended to survive account closure, including rights already granted for published or anonymised content, continue to apply.

We may update these terms when the service or law changes. Material changes will be signposted in the service where reasonably possible.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without taking away any mandatory protections or court rights you have where you live. Contact us at info@wouldyourather.co.uk.
